Comment: So much fishing pressure there, been like that for DECADES. Brought the kids there earlier this year, it was more interesting catching the little frogs. Even when I was younger I never caught anything big there. If you go just 1 mile down Rt. 125, through the woods, Fosters Pond will provide you with some big fish. Or, go further North up Rt. 125 and hit Lake Cochichewick. Both have great fish.

Comment: I was talking about Spot pond being open to boats. You can only rent one of their boats. I fished fields with my cartopper a lot when I first got it. That place sucks

Comment: Haha, it very well could have been 2.5 lbs. I always feel like there's big fish in there, but I personally have never seen one.

It's a hugely popular place to fish, so there has to be something of size to keep people going back there.

I've had better luck (still nothing over 2) at Brackett across the street. Not the small pond directly across from field, but if you walk through the woods it opens up, and it's usually a lot less crowded.

Comment: Field is full of clones, I've never caught anything that is over 1.5Lbs there. I always end up there a bunch of times at the beginning of each season hoping for a change, but it never has. I have heard rumors of larger fish, but I'm pretty skeptical.

Shawn, they do allow boats on field pond. Just no gas motors. I see cartopppers/kayaks/canoes in there all the time when I drive by.

Comment: Good luck. I've only fooled around there by throwing my MS Slammer when I first got it but from what I hear it's a tough place to fish that holds some beasts. I wish they'd make it open to boats
